IT'S TIME TO GO WATERSIDE...

Things get underway on Friday (June 20) at 6.30pm with an acoustic showcase on the main stage, followed by a set courtesy of prog-rock players Solstice.

Pack up a picnic and enjoy the event, or forgo the kitchen creativity and pop over to the BBQ on site instead.

On Saturday (June 21), three stages will operate - with eight musical acts on the main stage spanning blues to ska - The Bighead will take care of the latter.

Stage 2 will be hosted by the Monkey Kettle collective, offering listeners a swell band of indie acts - including The Phil Sky Experience, and Stage 3 will be all about the spoken word - with poetry and prose, book readings and signings.

At midday, a special session of songs and rhyme for children will be hosted too.

There is much more of the same to come on Sunday (June 22), with music from Blue Cabs, Bolivian Sunshine Dogs, MK Choir and Mr Wolfe.

All weekend long the Milton Keynes Arts Centre Courtyard will be busy - with activities led by The Culture Cart and their hand-crafted cart on wheels hosting a range or printing workshops including lino, woodcut and screen printing.

The current exhibition housed on the site, by MK artist Emma Wilde, will also be open to visitors.

Other attractions over the weekend include craft and charity stalls, archery, a water walker, dancing displays, fairground rides and a full programme of music in the church.

If you want to get busy with pedal power, a cycle ride around Milton Keynes will push off from the front of the Manor house on Saturday, at 10.30am, and dog owners might want to push their pooch into the limelight at Sunday's dog show.

Feeling peckish?  No need to make tracks home - a range of food stalls will tempt you, and you can wash everything down with something cold from the beer tent.

Admission is free, but there will be a small charge made for parking at the bash - necessary to cover the running costs of the fabulous family staple.
