MAY DAY FESTIVAL CELEBRATIONS FOR CAMPBELL PARK
Enjoy a slice of traditional celebration this Saturday (May 3), at the May Day Festival.
The annual fair is being held in Campbell Park and will feature Morris Dancers, children's entertainment, stalls and fair rides.
Naturally, the opportunity to dance around the May Pole will present itself too!
Organisers suggest that you park up along Silbury Boulevard and make your way to the fun being held Canalside between midday and 5pm.
Admission is free.
The Parks Trust are bright and early on Sunday (May 4) morning too – hosting another Discover session, this time focusing on the Dawn Chorus.
A chorus of bird song is a sound to savour, but you'll need to be up and assembled at Howe Park Wood at 5.30am...well, they do say the early bird catches the worm, after all!
Pre-booking is essential for this event, which costs £5.
Book online at www.theparkstrust.com or call MK 255379.
Also on Sunday, but at the more sociable time of 10am a Parks and Run session will snake its way around Willen Lake North.
Taking part wont cost a penny, and you need to meet at the car park on the V11, Tongwell Street – just north of the Pineham roundabout.
We stick with the theme of running on Monday (May 5) too – with the annual green MK Marathon.
You can get details of that by clicking to www.mkmarathon.co.uk
