NEWS: VIDEO INSTALLATION LIQUID GOLD IS THE AIR PREVIEWS THIS WEEKEND

Last year, the IF: Festival turned Milton Keynes into a hub for the unique, the unusual and the decidedly fabulous, with a huge programme of events tempting the community to investigate.

Under the Vaulted Sky was commissioned by The Stables for the festival.

Award-winning choreographer Rosemary Lee assembled a cast of 100 dancers and musicians who led the audience on a journey around MK's Cathedral of Trees at Newlands.

The Cathedral was planted three decades ago, modelled on the footprint of Norwich Cathedral.

Its base in Newlands is worth a trip alone, but last year's performance of Under the Vaulted Sky – the culmination of a year long residency with the festival here in the new city – was exceptional.

Cathedral of Trees also proved the inspiration for Liquid Gold is the Air, a three-screen video installation with sound, which will spend 2015 and 2016 touring cathedrals and galleries.

It previews here in Milton Keynes this Friday and Saturday (March 6 & 7) at St Andrews Church in Great Linford.

This delivery – a collaboration between Rosemary Lee and Roswitha Chesher – captures the haunting beauty of the tree-scape with fleeting vignettes and distilled moments from the aforementioned live performance.

The video last for 15 minutes, and will play on a loop at the church, between midday and 5pm both days.

> Parking is available at MK Arts Centre car park, and the church is wheelchair accessible.
