The 17th century was an interesting melting pot – both historically and musically, and 'thanks' to the ups and downs of Kingship, Civil Wars and the Restoration, a rich and diverse source of music is available to engage with – as will be the case this evening (Sat, June 6).
Obscure and mad Jacobean songs and music will be aired at Stony Stratford's York House Centre tonight, with compositions courtesy of Captain Tobias Hume, a 'gentleman and mercenary soldier with only one thing on his mind!'
Music will be played by Leero Waye with accompaniment from Mr Simpson's Little Consort, and Cate McKee, soprano.
The StonyLive! bash will run from 7.30pm and you'll get more details direct from www.stonylive.info
