The North Bucks RSPB group welcomes guest speaker Nick Bowles to this month's event, being held on Thursday (April 9).
Nick devotes most of his spare time to the Butterfly Conservation Organisation and has spent the past 40 years gaining knowledge and understanding of what our delicate insects require, and then sharing that knowledge with landowners.
"I hope to describe good places to see our most colourful and exciting butterfly species and to explain both why they are scarce and why certain reserves suit them better than others,” he said.
“You should leave my talk with a list of places to visit and a deep passion about these beautiful creatures and their fragile hold on life.
“I shall inspire you to agree that they need all the help we can give them."
The event it taking place at The Cruck Barn, City Discovery Centre, Bradwell Abbey.
Doors open at 7.15pm ready for a 7.45pm start and admission is £2.50 for group members, £3.50 for visitors.
