OU FILM SOCIETY: THIS WEEK SHOWING THE WALL

Want to see something other than the  current raft of Hollywood blockbusters?

The OU Film Society have just the thing, in Wednesday's (April 8) German discovery, The Wall.

An invisible wall descends from nowhere and traps a woman and her dog in a valley in the Austrian alps.

The world outside seems frozen in time, while inside she has sufficient supplies to survive.

The book was a best-seller in Germany for years, and the engrossing feminist allegory works fantastically well on the screen, while also being quite beautiful to view.

The Wall shows from 6.30pm in the OU Lecture Theatre.
