Brighton quintet MarthaGunn were hand-picked by Steven Knight to play Peaky Blinders Festival in Digbeth, Birmingham, performing alongside acts such as Slaves and Anna Calvi.
And there's good new for local fans of the rising five-piece - who will wrap up their UK tour with shows in Bedford this Friday (October 4) and Milton Keynes (October 8).
Made up of Abi, Max, Humphrey, Ally and Frankie – MarthaGunn first formed a bond together in Brighton and promptly found themselves living together.
The video for the recent single, Love and Emotion, was shot in Pembrokeshire, in Wales.
'We have spent a lot of time out there over the past 4 years, mainly writing and it’s where Love and Emotion was finished," Abi Woodman, lead vocals, says of the new lyric video.

"We have a friend who lets us use his house for weeks at a time. It’s quiet, usually empty, and there isn’t a great deal going on. To us, just being there is inspiring. We move all the furniture, set up all our instruments and just spend the days finding new MarthaGunn songs. There has been many a late night spent around the kitchen table.
"Emptying our minds, talking about everything and nothing. Our fears, our loves…. or just a heated debate about whatever the hot topic of the month is. It helps us deeper understand each other. We wanted to share the footage of a place that is sacred to us as a band, alongside a song that came together whilst being there."
They take musical cues from bands including Fleetwood Mac, Mystery Jets and Haim, and over the course of 2019 have been honing their live show which has included an incredible array of appearances at the likes of The Great Escape, Bushstock, Hidden Herd and Citadel Festivals, as well as performances at London’s Omeara.
