MY CHRISTMAS: ANNA HESTER TALKS MINCE PIES AND NEW YEAR RESOLUTIONS

Rising singer-songwriter Anna Hester launched her debut EP In the Meantime, back in October.

It served as a great introduction to her talents, but there is more planned in 2015.

Anna reveals her Christmas plans, and takes a look ahead to the new year...

Tell us how you'll spend the big day

Im going to be at home with my family, eating too much and watching Doctor Who.

I’m also taking part in Together at Christmasa community project in Wolverton which aims to provide a fresh meals and entertainment to anyone who is alone on Christmas day. I’ll be performing after the Christmas lunch.

Mince pies or Christmas pudding - which one, and why?

Mince pies. Christmas pudding’s always a bit heavy – especially after Christmas dinner! Although if I’m honest I’d choose a chocolate log over both of them.

Talk us through your 2014

I’m really proud of what I’ve achieved this year. I released my debut EP ('In the Meantime’), I played at Milton Keynes International Festival and also gigged in London, Berlin and Cambridge.

And your hopes for 2015 I would like to keep performing in new and exciting places across the UK, and write some new material along the way.

Any new year resolutions planned?

Probably the same as for many people: to get fit!  And also to practise guitar every day.
