Provocative and genre-defying - The Tiger Lillies announce their Milton Keynes return

Take a trip into the Devil’s Fairground where temptation and sin await as the Grammy nominated godfathers of alternative cabaret return with a very special show celebrating their 30th anniversary; The Tiger Lillies are back.

One of the most provocative and genre-defying bands you could come across, the world of The Tiger Lillies is dark, peculiar and varied. Their songs are darkly funny, filled with moments of deep sadness and immense beauty.  And they are returning to Milton Keynes to play them for us.

Formed in 1989 by singer-songwriter Martyn Jacques, The Tiger Lillies have performed all over the world collaborating with circus performers and Shakespearean actors; experimental dancers and avant-garde photographers; burlesque puppeteers and classical music ensembles, winning an Olivier Award for Best Entertainment for their West End musical Shockheaded Peter along the way.

The collective are well-known for their unique sound and style with a savage edge of punk, which has led them to be called the forefathers of Brechtian Punk Cabaret.

The band will be back at The Stables in Milton Keynes on May 12, the opening night of their UK tour.

Notorious for singing controversial songs about all vices imaginable, The Tiger Lillies are undoubtedly not for the easily offended, and with strong language a given, the show is recommended for ages 14+
