Radio's Gary Davies to host Nik Kershaw and T'Pau gig in Milton Keynes

Gather your friends together and prepare for an unrivalled, unforgettable Christmas party night of pure 80s classics at Arena MK.

Sure, it was the decade when shoulder pads were big and hair styles even bigger, but it was also a decade that offered up some of the best pop music, ever.

Sounds from the 80's is the ultimate feel good concert with live performances by some of the biggest names in 80's pop all hosted by BBC Radio 2’s Gary Davies.

A diverse mix of classic pop, dance, rock and hip-hop plus lots of forgotten gems awaits.

And, the cherry on top of fab night out; two incredible performances from 80s legends Nik Kershaw and T’Pau.

Nik Kershaw is the man behind some of Britain’s most iconic songs including Wouldn’t It Be Good, The Riddle, Wide Boy and I Won’t Let the Sun Go Down on Me.

Nik shot to fame in the 80s as one of pop’s biggest stars spending 62 weeks in the charts during 1984 and 1985 alone.

Since then, he has never stopped recording, writing and performing with work spanning over nearly four decades with nine albums and five top ten hits.

Total MK has seen him live twice in the past year, and he is fantastic.

T’Pau became one of the most successful and biggest selling bands of the 1980s with huge hits like China In Your Hand, Heart and Soul and Valentine.

Led by flame-haired singer Carol Decker, they rode the crest of a wave, also enjoying a quadruple platinum number one hit with their debut album, Bridge Of Spies.

The album produced a string of worldwide hits, which saw Heart & Soul, staying on the U.S billboard chart for six months, peaking at No four, and of course most notably China In Your Hand, which occupied the No1 slot in the UK for five weeks.

The show’s producer Mark Harrison, of LPH Concerts, said “We are thrilled to be able to bring Sounds from the 80’s to Arena MK.

"We have some fantastic live performances lined up so we’re really excited about bringing Milton Keynes a brilliant night of 80s entertainment.” So dust off those leg warmers, crimp those ponytails and get ready to enjoy an evening of nonstop 80s at Arena MK.
