Zombies ace Colin Blunstone makes welcome return to The Stables

Colin Blunstone is lead singer of iconic 60’s band The Zombies, whose hits include the classics ‘She’s Not There’ and ‘Time of the Season’.

The band have seen a huge resurgence in popularity over the last few years, having recently completed a magical world tour that culminated in a breathtaking show at The London Palladium last year.

Colin continues to tour regularly worldwide as a solo artist and with the current Zombies line up, and his forthcoming Stables return will see him deliver a mix his own great hits and Zombies favourites.

Colin has always held a commanding presence centre stage, standing at an elegant 6ft, his poise, stature and affable nature, coupled with a voice that 50 years on still holds the same exceptional range and peaks at a falsetto, with a smooth cadence, makes him a magnetic pull for audiences.

He never misses a beat and holds his own place in British musical heritage as a rare and unique singer, whose voice has effortlessly stood the test of time.

Colin’s solo career began after the The Zombies, split in 1967, with ‘One Year’ on Epic Records, from which the hit single ‘Say You Don’t Mind’ was taken.

Two more albums followed, then by a spell living in California where he signed for Elton John’s label, Rocket Records and released three critically acclaimed albums, ‘Planes’, ‘Never Even Thought’ and ‘Late Nights in Soho’.

Back in the UK, Colin supplied the vocals for Dave Stewart’s huge hit version of ‘What Becomes Of The Broken Hearted’ followed by further hits with Smokey Robinson’s ‘Tracks Of My Tears’ and The Alan Parson’s Project’s ‘Old And Wise’.

A further three albums, ‘Greatest Hits’, ‘Echo Bridge’ and ‘The Light Inside’, came before Colin decided the time was right to play live again where he was joined by fellow Zombies founder member, Rod Argent.

Together, they have recorded a further four studio albums, ‘Out Of The Shadows’ ‘As Far As I Can See’, ‘Breathe Out, Breathe In’ (as The Zombies) and last years ‘Still Got That Hunger’ (The Zombies) along with a selection of live albums/ DVD’s and ‘Odessey And Oracle’ (Revisited)

Colin (pictured second right with his Zombies bandmates) has a new solo album is planned for 2019, but don't wait that long to hear that voice.

See him at The Stables on April 26.
