Hilton Hotel in Milton Keynes is sold to new operator

A substantial hotel in Milton Keynes, previously trading as Hilton Milton Keynes has been sold through specialist business property adviser, Christie & Co, to an expanding group operator.

The purpose built, 138 bedroom hotel comprises extensive conference and function rooms, with the largest holding 300 guests, a bar and lounge, 120 cover restaurant and leisure facilities including a gym.

Located close to Junctions 13 and 14, just off the busy M1, the hotel sits in an extremely accessible location, catering to passing trade and visitors to the area, with Milton Keynes town centre just four miles away.

Ideally positioned, the business sees trade from both leisure and business guests with a strong commercial presence in the area and famous visitor attractions, including Stadium MK, Silverstone Racetrack and Bletchley Park.

The hotel was purchased by Bowling Green Asset Management (BGAM), one of the UK’s fastest growing owner-operators of branded hotels. Jamie Levy, Director at BGAM, comments, “BGAM are delighted to confirm the purchase of our fifth hotel, the MK Hotel, Milton Keynes. We see a lot of growth potential in the hotel and area as a whole and the hotel will benefit immediately from rebranding and major rolling refurbishment programme.”

Alex Campbell, Director at Christie & Co, handled the sale and comments, “We received strong interest in the hotel as it represents a superb opportunity to re-brand and reposition the hotel within the Milton Keynes market.

"BGAM will undertake a refurbishment of the hotel and it will fit perfectly into their expanding portfolio.”
