Hobbycraft supports Milton Keynes charity Brain Tumour Research this Easter

Hobbycraft in Milton Keynes will be running spring bonnet decorating workshops this March, supporting charity Brain Tumour Research for their 2018 ‘Wear A Hat Day’ campaign.

On Saturday, March 24, children are invited to come and get creative by making their own spring themed bonnet, with the help of Hobbycraft’s in-store experts. The workshop costs just £3, with £2 per ticket going to Brain Tumour Research.

Workshops are at 1pm and 2pm, and places can be booked  here

Funds raised will support Brain Tumour Research. Brain Tumour Research is committed to funding sustainable research into brain tumours - the biggest cancer killer of children and adults under the age of 40.

Sue Farrington Smith, chief executive of Brain Tumour Research, said: “Partnering with Hobbycraft on this campaign is a game-changing opportunity to raise awareness of this devastating disease. The money raised, simply by having fun with hats, will go towards sustainable research that will bring us closer to a cure for brain tumours.”

Levi Brookes, store manager at Hobbycraft Milton Keynes, added: “We’re really excited about working with Brain Tumour Research for the second year running, and we hope that our awareness and fundraising will really make a difference. Make sure you book your place at our spring bonnet workshops, and you can also donate in-store!”

Workshops are suitable for all ages from 4+, but a parent or guardian is required to stay with children during the workshop. Please note, that the guardian may need to help with trickier elements such as cutting and sticking.

You’ll find Hobbycraft Milton Keynes at the Central Retail Park.
