Whitespace Yoga Studio clears up the community with litter pick

Milton Keynes' popular outdoor space around Willen Lake now has a lot less rubbish thanks to Whitespace Yoga & Wellbeing Studio, who partnered with Conscious Living MK for a community litter pick on Sunday.

The group of volunteers who joined Whitespace Studio & Conscious Living MK to clean up the area around Willen Lake.

An army of volunteers joined Whitespace Studio for an hour and a half walk around the beautiful green space, where they gathered 20 bags of rubbish and recycling which otherwise may have ended up in our waterways.

Deborah Berryman, Yoga Teacher and founder of Whitespace Studio said: "We were thrilled to partner with Conscious Living and help to clean up Willen Lake.

"It's more important than ever before that we continue the fight against litter and plastic pollution, so thank you to everyone who joined us to take action on improving our local environment.”

Codie-Leigh, Conscious Living MK organiser added: “Coming together in this way gives us so much hope for the future of our planet and our home. Everyone made a difference yesterday by caring, showing up and doing their bit.”

Alongside its community events, Whitespace Yoga & Wellbeing Studio offers over 50 classes in Yoga, Pilates and Mindfulness Meditation each week. Classes are suited for all abilities and include specialist courses and workshops such as Pregnancy Yoga, Baby Bumpkin and Kids Mindfulness.
