Heritage Open Days: Explore Cowper & Newton Museum and relive Georgian life in Olney

Explore Cowper & Newton Museum as part of the national Open Heritage Days events, this week.

If you haven't yet had the pleasure, this is a great chance to relive Georgian life in Olney – the home of ‘Amazing Grace’.

Walk back in time through the home of William Cowper, renowned 18th century poet and letter writer.

Relax in the beautiful, tranquil gardens, and learn about John Newton’s famous hymn Amazing Grace and the Abolition of Slavery.

Let the youngsters get busy with the children’s trail and Georgian dressing up.

The story of lace making and other local history will also be explored on the day.

The event runs between 10.30am and 4.30pm and entry is free.
