intu Milton Keynes brings the summer sun back

Despite the cloudy weather outside, inside intu Milton Keynes, the sun was shining as summer returned to the centre for the day earlie this week.

A giant 50ft sun appeared in the shopping centre in Tuesday  in a bid to extend the summer and make people happier.

The installation follows intu’s happiness survey, which reveals that four in five people in Milton Keynes (79 per cent) feel happier when it’s sunny.

Kirsty McGiff, marketing manager at intu Milton Keynes comments: “The giant sun looked incredible and saw shoppers stop what they were doing and take pictures and take a seat in the deck chairs. We aimed to bring summer back to Milton Keynes and put smiles on people’s faces, which we did and in a  spectacular way.”

According to the intu Happiness Survey, one in four people in Milton Keynes say 2018 has been their happiest summer in memory despite the economic uncertainty, with a third crediting the sunshine for their increased happiness levels.
