Poetry phenomenon John Cooper Clarke is back on tour in the UK this autumn and he's coming to The Stables.

Poet Laureate of Punk, rock star, fashion icon, TV and radio presenter, social and cultural commentator… John’s Cooper Clarke’s new show is a breath-taking showcase of poetry and spoken word.

As one of Britain’s most beloved and influential writers and performers, John will take fans on a completely one-of-a-kind journey through poetry from classic numbers (a chance to see John perform world-famous poems like Chickentown and Beasley Street) to brand new material.

All interspersed with his usual musings, off the wall chat, riffs, gags and wicked humour.

John also chats about a remarkable life with anecdotes from his best-selling memoir ‘I Wanna Be Yours’. The acclaimed autobiography was released in the UK in 2021 by Picador. The book explores his extraordinary life, filled with remarkable personalities: from Nico to Chuck Berry.

John’s latest show is a chance to see a genuine living legend at the top of his game.
