THE COMEDY COW: GUNN TAKES AIM WITH THE FUNNIES

Earlier this year, the Comedy Cow won the Chortle title for 'Best small Comedy Club' in the Midlands and East.

Next Friday (May 15), the Cow will be showing the pedigree that won them the gong, when it hosts another comedy night at the red dot bar, at the Doubletree in Bletchley.

Mike Gunn is your main man. Mike has appeared on Michael McIntyre’s Comedy Roadshow, Celebrity Deal or no Deal, Harry Hill’s TV Burp, on the Al Murray sit-com ‘Time Gentlemen Please’ and too many more to mention in the here and now.

A self-confessed pessimist, he describes himself as “not a natural choice for a career in laughter”.

It could be dodgy, but actually when Gunn shoots the funnies he hits the bullseye every time.

He has a rare ability to walk close to the line of what audiences find acceptable and yet still remain likeable and importantly, funny.

Tamar Broadbent who is also an award-winning songwriter, will open the show.

Her song 'Patrick' was recently featured on BBC Radio 4's 'Fresh From the Fringe', a showcase of new and exciting comedy acts from the Edinburgh Fringe Festival.

Sanderson Jones

Hosting the show is Sanderson Jones (above), the co-founder of the Sunday Assembly.

A few years back, Sanderson left his job as an advertising salesman to become a stand up.

In 2012 he sold out the Sydney Opera House.

Incredibly, he did this by selling every single ticket to the show by hand.

What’s more, the technology loving geek researched the audience and incorporated their online lives into his show. Proof that you get out what you put in...

Also on the bill is Joey Page, who has spent the last few years blustering around the comedy circuit, supporting the likes of Josie Long and Noel Fielding and appearing on shows such as BBC 3’s comedy marathon, Nevermind the Buzzcocks and Noel Fielding’s Luxury comedy.

The Comedy Cow is strictly for those aged 18 and above. If you are easily offended, stay at home.

The rest of you are in for a cracking night out.

Doors at 7:30pm, and the show starts at 8:15pm. Tickets are £10, or £8 for MK Dons Season Ticket Holders. Get yours by clicking to www.thecomedycow.co.uk

A sell-out is on the cards, book now to avoid disappointment.
