THE WEEK AHEAD AT THE STABLES: WITH JO HARMAN, JULIAN LLOYD WEBBER, LEDDRA CHAPMAN AND MORE...

At Wavendon venue The Stables this week...

Mark Thomas is back with his latest show Cuckooed, which is close to being fully booked, on Thursday (Feb 19).

British Blues ace Jo Harman will be live on Stage 2 the same evening.

Her debut album, 2013s Dirt on my Tongue was a critical and commercial success, and  the Jo Harman and Company - Live at The Royal Albert Hall opus is coming soon.

"Sometimes you hear a singer who leaves you speechless - I am," said Radio 2 Huey Morgan.

There's a problem with that sentence though, if you think about it...

Her talent is in no doubt, mind you, and her ability at the mic led to more than 50 UK and European festival gigs in 2013.  That's no easy feat.

Go listen to what all the fuss is about, it's deserved.  That voice is a wow-er.

The Mods Band show up on Friday (Feb 20) playing tribute to all those artists you expect to hear - The Yardbirds, The Doors, Spencer Davis Group, The Animals, The Stones...you get the idea.  It's a sixties parade live and direct.

Funny fella Lee Nelson will be holding court on Stage 2 with a pre-tour warm up, but that's all sold out, and practically all seats for folk-rock originators Fairport Convention on Saturday night (Feb 21) have gone too.  It's the same deal too for Serious Blues featuring Giles Hedley, live on Stage 2 on the same evening.

On Sunday morning (Feb 22) there is a session of Live Jazz Matters, with A Tribute to Tommy Whittle and his Quartet.

The Stage 2 affair will begin at 11.30am.  Be prompt folks!

Young singer-songwriter Leddra Chapman brings her 'quintessentially English' voice to the stage on Tuesday (Feb 24) evening, and jazz-rock pioneers Colosseum return on Wednesday (Feb 25).

That's another sell-out though, folks.
