If you want to treat your nearest and dearest this Christmas, but are keen not to go down the 'socks and plonk' route, a visit to Towcester Town Hall this weekend could be a good call.
Towcester & District Art Society is holding a sale of quality framed original paintings and greeting cards by local amateur artists at very reasonable prices.
The kettle will be on and homemade cakes will also be for sale.
Admission is free, and the event runs 9am to 5pm on Saturday and 10am to 4.30pm on Sunday.
