Artist Louise Labelle will be exhibiting at Stantonbury Gallery starting today (Feb 20).
We could give you some blurb, but instead we thought we'd let Louise's words do the talking: "It's not all about the monkeys," she says.
"Apparently I have a thing about trees and birds, friends and the past too. Hopefully my work will sometimes give people something to think about.
"This is the first opportunity I have had for many years to explore my ideas. I naively thought 13 months was enough, bit I discover of course, this is only the beginning.
"There is an irony in describing images and ideas in words when the plan was to express something visually," she realises.
So with that thought ringing, you need to pop to the gallery and see her work as intended. The show will carry through to March 12 and admission is free.
