'BEST NEW BAND' NOMINEES PURSON VISIT THE CRAUFURD ARMS
London rock troupe Purson are on a steady ascent, and the upward curve has been aided by award nominations with Classic Rock and Classic Prog magazines – in the Best New Band and Limelight categories respectively.
They've a new EP on the way too – In the Meantime's lead track Danse Macabre has gained strong support from stations including BBC6 Music, XFM and Planet Rock, and on Friday night (October 24) the colourful collective with the fine sounds rock up at the Craufurd Arms as they near the end of a UK tour.
Think of a folky warmth with a lurid technicolour horror, a prog rock complexity with classic songwriting, a romantic vision of tiwsted dreams....Purson are about all of this, and more.
Purson have a cool couple of weeks ahead too – a week following the Craufurd date and the quintet will be setting sail from Miami on the Kiss Kruise package – joining Gene Simmons, Paul Stanley and the gang on the coolest cruiser around, and a bill also featuring Cheap Trick and Tigertailz.
When they get back on dry land the guys make tracks to L.A.s Viper Room and put the seal on a pretty wild few weeks....If they need anyone to carry luggage, Total MK is available!
Tickets for the Wolverton show are £6.50.
