Community Radio Milton Keynes is hoping that with your help it will soon be feeling flush, which is rather convenient, seeing as their new premises is a disused toilet block!
Milton Keynes’ oldest radio station has already received planning permission for the spot in Newport Pagnell.
Ever since, DJs and volunteers have been spending their weekends transforming the building from an ivy-covered shell into a tidy studio premises, ready for stage two of the development.
“This exciting project will ensure that Milton Keynes continues to have a fully independent station,” said Paul Alexander.
“Shows will be broadcast by local people, for local people, and indeed to the whole world.”
And those shows include staple favourites like Shane Quentin's Garden of Earthly Delights, and The Grumpy Old Men.
In order to move things on, so to speak, CRMK needs to raise £3000 by the end of June – this cash will then be used to snap up the remaining materials and equipment.
Every little helps, so c’mon folks, out with the plastic card and onto the computer with ya!
