THE GARDEN SEASON IS A BIG FIDDLE!

The third weekend of Music in the Garden is another cracker this weekend (June 28 & 29), and starts with Allison Neale (above) and the show Neale meets Steele. Altoist Allison and her 'poised and elegant West Coast influences combine with vibraphonist Nat Steele's East Coast bebop to create a musical tension perfectly balances by their sizzling rhythm section.' If you fancy that, you'll need to be up and out bright and early on Saturday - show time in Wavendon's Rectory Gardens is 11.30am. Then, from 2.30pm John Bird (below) - of Bremner, Bird and Fortune fame - will be cutting loose for a solo session of comedy with tall tales aplenty - some true, others trueish! On Sunday, the ridiculously talented Christian Garrick and Peter Fisher (below) will be rekindling the fiddling relationship of Grappelli and Menuhin - two of the 20th century's most celebrated violinists, at 2.30pm.
