The Legendary Ten Seconds will be making tracks all the way from Torquay to York House in Stony Stratford this Saturday afternoon (Feb 20) to cut loose their songs about Richard III, for the Richard III Society, naturally.
This is original English sixties psychedelic folk rock music with each of the songs about the life and times of the monarch.
The band's second album is called Tant Le Desiree – an old French meaning 'I have longed for it so much,' and that is one of the King's mottoes, and was found written in his own hand...
Richard III was born not a million miles from these parts, at Fotheringhay Castle in Northamptonshire, but fell at The Battle of Bosworth Field.
Buried without ceremony, his remains were lost for five centuries, and rediscovered in 2012. You will remember that a little less than a year ago, his remains were laid to rest in Leicester Cathedral.
Non society members are also welcome to attend this show, and tickets are available at £5.
Don't leave it to chance though, as numbers are limited.
