Congratulations are in order for Chris Kemp, the former Pitz founder and promoter who recently received the 'Excellence and Passion' award at the European Festival Awards.
Chris won the gong for his work on health, safety and crowd management in Europe over the past two decades.
But the award came as a total surprise to Chris, who is still based here in the new city.
“I don't do awards and certainly don't win them,” he said as he took the stage.
“This is really for all of those people who work ceaselessly across Europe to make events safer.”
With the award now on the mantelpiece, Chris is back working on projects including for festivals and venues.
