Friends of a young man tragically killed in a collision in Milton Keynes on Friday morning have paid tribute to their friend.
Eighteen-year-old Ryan Ansell was on a motorcycle which collided with a white van on the V6 Grafton Street, at the junction with Gibsons Green in Heelands.
Ryan, from West Bletchley, died at the scene, and floral tributes now mark the spot of the collision.
“We met at a bike show last year,” recalled friend Scott Drake.
“A couple of months later college started, and low and behold Ryan rides up on his motorbike. “From that point on we were like brothers. We would both go out on our motorbikes nearly every chance we got.”
Scott received a phone call from a friend informing him of the accident.
“He told me a biker had been in a crash, and that Ryan was there,” Scott said, “I jumped in my car, sped to the crash site, and saw the bike.
“My best friend died a couple of minutes after the impact. For me as a 20-year-old to lose my best friend at this age is unearthly,” he said.
Scott joined other local bikers and had the same tattoo Ryan had inked on them, to pay tribute to their friend.
Ryan's friends have now set up a Just Giving site to raise money for Ryan's funeral costs.
