intu Milton Keynes’ festive gift wrappers were back for another year – and they raised a whopping £4928.77 for charity!
For Christmas gift givers who aren’t blessed with the skill of wrapping, intu Milton Keynes’ festive wrappers were a dream come true.
In exchange for a charity donation, these wrapping experts were happy to tackle any present, big or small!
All donations are being shared evenly across a group of charities including Willen Hospice, Age UK Milton Keynes, Hope for Hollie, Advantage Africa and Citizens Advice. Donations varied depending on the size of the gift.
The service was opened by the Mayor of Milton Keynes, Councillor Martin Petchey, on December 11, and took the hassle out of wrapping right up until Christmas Eve.
Armed with tape, bows, ribbons and thousands of metres of paper at the gift-wrapping station near Pret, the festive wrappers made sure busy shoppers had one less job on their lists.
Shelley Peppard, general manager at intu Milton Keynes, said: “Most people don’t really love gift wrapping, and some of us make quite a hash of it!
"To have these gift wrappers on hand to help people throughout December was wonderful, and it was even better that the donations were for some incredible charities. It was a real feel-good activity for the festive season.
"Well done and thank-you to our amazing festive wrappers, and to all the shoppers who used the service. You did a great thing!”
