As part of its ongoing commitment to working in partnership with local communities, Taylor Wimpey South Midlands has recently donated more than £500 to Five Star Newton Leys FC in Newton Leys.
The donation will ensure the under 6’s, under 7’s and under 8’s teams will all receive brand new kits.
Established in 2018 and founded by Mike Carrara, Five Star Newton Leys FC coaches aspiring footballers between the ages of four and seven. The club quickly expanded, and today there are a mixture of 10 boys and girls in each squad.
The new match day kits will see the young players through many seasons ahead.
Commenting on the support it has received, Stacey Williams, Welfare Officer for Five Star Newton Leys FC, said: “As a relatively new team, support from the local community is extremely important to us.
"Without businesses like Taylor Wimpey, we would struggle to fund things like kits and training equipment, so we cannot thank them enough for their generous donation. We are a family club and it’s amazing to see the children enjoy football so much.”
Taylor Wimpey’s donation to Five Star Newton Leys FC is one of the many contributions being made by the housebuilder towards community facilities and infrastructure in the wider area.
