BOUNCERS: A CLEVER PARODY OF SATURDAY NIGHT FEVER
It's the smash hit comedy that puts up with no nonsense - it's Bouncers, and the vision of 80s urban nightlife is back in town again on Tuesday (Oct 21) as part of Stantonbury Theatre's 40th birthday season.
Take a hilarious look back at 80s nightclub life with the original men in black - Judd, Ralph, Les and Lucky Eric.
You'll be transported to a Yorkshire disco in this clever parody of Saturday Night Fever - the gang are out on the town, the boys, the girls, the late night kebab man and the taxi home.
You'll make the acquaintance of lager swilling lads, lip-sticked, lacquered girls and those making the most of their time on the dance floor.
Though the fashions and the music may change, the binge-drinking and the darker side of clubbing stays true through the decades.
Bouncers should be 'like watching four stand-up comedians,' says John Godber.
And he knows how best to envisage the piece. After all, he wrote it.
The show will include some unsavoury language, and is recommended for those over the age of 14 years.
Tickets are £16 and £14 and the bouncers get heavy from 7.30pm.
