The Christmas lights go on in Stony Stratford this Saturday (Nov 28), and the lead up to the switch flicking ceremony is one coloured with fairground rides and a street market.
The family friendly festivities will be illuminated still further by the spectacular lantern procession which begins at 4.15pm, reaching the Market Square just before 5pm, when the lights are turned on.
Watling Fest will run alongside, bringing live music to the day.
“We try to get a mixture of musical styles from traditional jazz up to the modern era,” organisers say.
Local talents will be playing for you on the Market Square between 11am and 4.20pm and admission is free.
