Finding the Funnies: The Comedy Club brings the smile factor back to Milton Keynes

After being forced off stage with the overnight closure of Wonderworld earlier this year, the Comedy Club has a new base - at The Casino MK, at Xscape.

Launching on Thursday (May 18) the promo gets straight back to business with a taut three-band bill.

Windsor is your host for the evening.  One of the UK's top comperes, he is a first class host with a natural charm and warmth, along with an enviable ability to create a relaxed, friendly atmosphere in any room.   From performing in the smallest rooms to compering the Glastonbury Big Top, Windsor wins over his crowd in minutes, has exceptional crowd-control and has that rare ability to make everyone feel at home.

Roger Monkhouse is one of the most original and distinctive acts on the comedy scene, and he's the bill opener this week.

A consummate stand-up, he is a highly original and quirky performer.  Roger's trademark stage-prowling style and curious, inimitable manner have established him as one of the hottest names on the comedy circuit.

Distinguished as a comic by his eloquence and keen eye for a fine phrase, Roger's easy observational style is spiked by the signal flares of an accomplished gag writer. A supremely confident compere and seasoned corporate host, Roger is happy to improvise freely with a crowd and is at great ease bantering with an audience, but has no shortage of first class observational material in his Armory.

Javier Jarquin will headline the bash  He is a regular at the biggest clubs in the UK– delighting audiences with well-crafted jokes and a very likeable stage persona.
He is also a well-known act in his native New Zealand and headlines gigs across Europe. Before coming to the UK in 2010 Javier spent four years working as a pro-comedy bringer in NZ.
How good is he?  Well, he bagged the 2007 'So You Think You’re Funny’ title in Christchurch.  Yep, he's good!

Tickets are a tenner, doors open at 7pm, and the gags roll from 8pm.
