GOOD GOLLY MISS DOLLY!

Tribute artists take recommendations wherever they can get them from. But there aren't many who are endorsed by the artist they are impersonating. Sally Vee Anderson is one who has been, though.  With her beaming smile framed by red lipstick and a couple of other assets (her blonde top wig and lung capacity, obviously) she is a dead ringer for Miss Dolly Parton. And that's according to Dolly herself: "The best tribute to me is Sally Anderson," she said in an interview with Q Magazine, "...she even fools my family!" Dolly has seen what Sandy can do first hand too - Sandy has played alongside Dolly and Kenny Rogers. This week, direct from Las Vegas, Dolly, erm we mean Sandy, will make her debut on UK soil, here in Milton Keynes. She will be performing at The Venue in Walnut Tree this Friday and Saturday night (September 19 and 20) with Peter White taking the role of Kenny Rogers. Plenty of you will remember him from his appearance on Stars in their Eyes. Compere and hostess at the intimate shows - the venue seats just under 400 - will be Linda Nolan, and these performances are in support of Sands - the Still Birth & Neonatal charity provides support for bereaved parents and their families.
