Animal lovers can enjoy a purr-fect afternoon on Sunday (August 9), by paying a visit to Hula Animal Rescue. This month, the open day is focusing on the feline side, with a puddy-tat special.
A cat welfare talk will be hosted at 3pm, and there will be a cat fancy dress competition for little 'kittens' who fancy that. Whiskers at the ready!
Kids will also be able to let loose their animal side with on-site face painting, and those of you who are more canine influenced will be pleased to learn that the traditional Hula dog parade will still lead off at 2.30pm.
If the weather is a winner, Hula will also host a Classic/American car show, so those of you lucky enough to own one, go take the cover off your cadillac or mustang, give it a rev and drive it over to the event at Glebe Farm in Aspley Guise. You'll get free admission too.
Otherwise, entry is £2 for adults with accompanied children in for free.
