Anyone searching for ways to keep the kids busy this May Half Term will need to look no further than Willen Lake.
The first Activity Week of the season will be running, so parents and carers can drop off the kids and let the instructors take care of the rest!
They’ll get to experience the best that Willen Lake has to offer, with plenty of outdoor activities and games to keep them entertained all day long.
Weekends suit better? Willen Lake has regular weekend clubs for 8–15-year-olds, operating on a drop-in basis. Watersports Academy offers the chance to sample a different
activity each week, whilst Junior Sailing Club allows participants to progress towards confidently sailing solo.

There’s plenty of action happening on the water with a few new faces to the scene. New for 2023 is the Family Paddle Half Day, the perfect paddleboarding experience for
families.
Sessions last three hours and cover the basics of paddleboarding before getting in some group practice on a mega paddleboard or multi-seater katakanu.
Additionally, new double kayaks have arrived at the Watersports Centre, ready for hire this Half Term. The usual favourites will also be available, including the funky fleet of pedalos, paddleboards and single kayaks.
Boat Hire will be available first-come first-served every day 11am – 5pm.
Or try something new with an introductory Discover session, available in paddleboarding, kayaking and sailing. These 90-minute sessions are suitable for total beginners and will cover the basics of the chosen watersport.
Let off some steam on the recently extended Aqua Parcs, the inflatable course on the water. The new addition for 2023 is the Extreme section, which includes ‘The Mammoth’: a towering feature with giant slides and a thrilling five metre cliff jump.
Adventures on land are available at Treetop Extreme, where thrill-seekers can take on the exhilarating high ropes course. Scale the climbing wall, scramble through 16+ obstacles and scream over the Treetop Drop, a 13-metre freefall from the top of the course!
Anyone looking to keep their feet firmly on the ground can give Archery a go. If there’s younger visitors in tow, let them loose at Splash ‘n’ Play, an outdoor splash park with over 60 unique water features.
Maximise the day out with the outdoor Play Area, conveniently located next to the Willen Lake Bar & Kitchen, offering Change Please coffee as well as pastries, bakes and light bites.
