Frosts Garden Centre in Woburn Sands released its much anticipated grotto tickets for 2016 last week, and the response was overwhelming.
Prime slots to see the ‘big man’ and his elves, such as Christmas Eve and the weekend before 25 December, sold out within minutes, breaking all previous records, but the message from Frosts is that there are still plenty of tickets available.
"The demand this year has been greater than any other before, it’s been wonderfully overwhelming,” said James Frost, managing director at the Garden Centre.
“This year we brought in more staff to take bookings over the phone and to help with enquiries in the garden centre, and they did incredibly well.
"Hundreds of people formed queues that ran from inside the garden centre to the entrance, it’s something I have never seen before.”
Over the past week, sales have continued but Frosts is keen to let mums and dads know that there still slots available for little ones to see Santa.
Frosts’ grotto is a unique family experience lasts just over 45 minutes and is the ultimate way to visit Father Christmas.
Enter his magical wonderland, sing with his bashful elves, then make some reindeer food ready to sprinkle on Christmas Eve.
