SPECTACULAR ICE AND FIRE TAKE-OVER AT WOBURN ABBEY THIS WEEKEND
A trip to Woburn Abbey's stunning gardens always delivers a nice time for all, but on Saturday (Nov 29) visitors will be guaranteed an ice time...
The return of the Luminaries Woburnensis will transform the area into a sight to behold - with stunning ice sculptures, animated fire sculpture and theatrical experiences.
Her Grace the Duchess of Bedford has commissioned award-winning ice sculptors Glacial Art to create oriental sculptures for the evening, and when you have been inspired by the chipper lot, you can have a go at the craft itself, over at the interactive ice wall.
New this year is a fantastic trail route through the Hornbeam maze and the Sculpture Gallery's private gardens.
Maybe you will decide to decorate your own hanging lantern, or launch one of the lotus flower lanterns, and when you've worked your way through that little lot, pop over to the boutique stalls.
It's a real opportunity to support sellers and snap up something a little more original to pop under the Christmas tree...
It's going to be cold outside, so wrap up accordingly and keep the cold at bay. A snuggly visitor is a happy one, so remember the gloves and the hat, oh, and a torch is a must-have for this event.
If you do need a little extra heat, pop to the Duchess' Tea Room which will be open and serving noodles, soups, stews and soups to warm you right up!
The spectacular family event will run between 5pm and 10pm. Admission is £10 for adults, £8.50 for seniors and £4 for children (under 3s go free).
