Take time away from the stress inducing Christmas shopping, and instead gather your brood and go visit Milton Keynes Museum for a seasonal treat.
The history hub presents the return of its Victorian Christmas this weekend, a chance to relive the way Crimbo use to be.
Mulled wine will be served by the butler as you warm yourselves by the roaring fire, before possibly indulging in a slice of hot buttered toast, and there won't be a toaster in sight - at MK Museum bread is crisped the traditional way - with a toasting fork.
Hot chestnuts will be readied in the working forge, and scummy home made seasonal treats will be served in the Granary tearoom.
If you fancy taking time out, head to the Chapel where vintage Christmas films will be showing, and if you've still got a few 'awkward' relatives to buy for this yuletide, the gifts and craft fair might offer solutions.
Everyone will need to be on their best behaviour when visiting the Wolverton hot-spot though, as organisers have arranged for a couple of very special guests to pop in - and it's not often day Santa Claus and Queen Victoria can be seen in Wolverton!
A Victorian Christmas runs as follows:
Friday, December 5 - Sunday, December 7
Friday, December 12 - Sunday, December 14

Opening times are 4.30pm - 7pm (Friday)
