STEP BACK IN TIME AT STONY'S 'SCINTILLATING SPECTACULAR'
Nothing to do this Friday (May 30) night?
Perhaps you'll be tempted by a 'scintillating spectacular of spiffing stuff.'
That's the promise being made by organisers of StonyMusicHall! 2 happening at York House Centre, Stony Stratford.
Music Hall was a legendary feature of British entertainment - with stars way back in the day including Harry Champion, Tich and Marie Lloyd, George Formby (father and son) and Max Miller.
StonyMusicHall! 2 is your chance to dip a modern toe into a yesteryear sensation, with your headliner Bubbles and an array of local talents flooding the stage.
"Some cracking local talent will be evoking those nice-but-sometimes-naughty days, with bicycles made for two, people who parted their hair in the middle, a lion called Wallace, and what Mrs Shufflewick thought when even the comfort had gone from her local pub, The Cock & Comfort," say those in the know.
Sounds like it'll be quite the night!
The first of these events sold-out in advance, so advance ticket purchases are advisable - get them from Well Past It in Timor Court, Stony Stratford.
Alternatively, leave things to chance and pay a fiver on the door.
A bar will be open for business with real ale, cider, wines, soft juices and juices - proceeds will go to York House Centre.
