Starting today (Saturday) and carrying through until 2nd June, centre:mk will be playing host to The Great British Sports Show which for one week only, will see Middleton Hall transformed into an accessible sports festival.
The show seeks to inspire both young and old alike to try out new sports and get active, with a combination of free and paid for experiences.
Olympian Bobby White - Captain of England’s Handball team 2012 and Zaw Torley, GB Taekwondo Athlete will be onsite throughout the week to help support the event, they will be joined by various sporting professionals from different clubs across the region who will be here to encourage guests to try out a new sport.
There will be free activities in various zones as well daily demonstrations and try-outs from Roller Derby to Jujitsu and Handball to Cricket.
What’s more, on Saturday 1st June and Sunday 2nd June a 5m x 5m wrestling ring will be installed into Middleton Hall to showcase Apex Wrestling!
Guests can also flex their competitive streak in the ‘Get Stuck In’ zone which features Head to Head Basketball Fun, Electronic Reaction Challenges, Inflatable Rugby Tug-of-War (!!), Speed Hockey Flick, Electronic Football Goal and lots more. #Get Stuck In – Paid (£5 for 3 goes).
The Great British Sports Show at centre:mk will be open daily in Middleton Hall Monday – Saturday: 10am - 6pm, Sunday: 11am-5pm and Bank Holiday Monday: 10am – 5.30pm.
