Wolverton’s Lantern Festival will be all aglow on Saturday (Dec 5), between 2pm and 6pm.
The square will be buzzing with music and dancing during the afternoon, before the parade begins at 4.30pm when stilt-walkers, circus performances, giants and hundreds of homemade lanterns, inspired by children’s literature, will glow.
A street market will tempt with handmade crafts, artwork, hobby horses, gift ideas and hot food to keep that winter chill at bay.
A warm welcome will greet you at Foundation House too, with the cafe open and serving the hot stuff, and free activities for the kids.
The Lantern Festival is the culmination of months of hard work, with workshops beginning in October.
"Everyone puts their heart and soul into all aspects of this festival, which they hope creates a legacy for Wolverton's community and a spectacle for visitors," organisers said.
