'REDEFINING FOLK' WITH RISING TALENT MARIKA HACKMAN

When Marika Hackman cut loose her debut album, We Slept At Last, Dazed & Confused accused her, flatteringly, of 'redefining folk'.

The young lady with a terrific talent as a lyricist is responding by releasing a  new single towards the end of April.

Not a title from the album, mind, but a fresh moment in sound, Ophelia.

Marika uses the piece to narrate a tragic story of spurned love, drawing inspiration from Hamlet.

Her music is as extraordinary as it is beautiful, and ahead of that new single, you get to see her in the live, when she visits The Craufurd Arms this evening (March 30).

This date forms part of her largest UK headlining tour to date, and is a chance to enjoy her intimate music in an equally intimate environment.

Marika is a young artist with it all to play for.  Watch her do precisely that on tonight.

Doors open at 7.30pm.  Tickets are £8 in advance and support is coming from Sophie Jamieson.
