THE DUB PISTOLS TAKE AIM AT BEDFORD ESQUIRES

The Pad presents cooks up a stormer of a show as they add three of their favourite bands to the same bill at Bedford Esquires this Friday evening (March 18).

The Dub Pistols return to the venue after an absence of nearly three years, and as one of the most popular and best-loved acts on the circuit, this return is hotly anticipated.

It's also testimony to their perseverance and staying power that their popularity still keeps increasing. Return of the Pistoleros is the current album bringing them to these parts, so expect to hear plenty of that in the live.

Main support is coming from Kuenta I Tambu, from Holland.  They headlined Esquires back in November 2015, and nearly blew the roof off the venue.

Expect traditional Afro Caribbean music from Curacao and European dance. They have cleverly found a balance between electronic sound samples, singing and chanting and the infectious rhythms played by ritual tambu drums. Some call it Global Bass, others prefer labeling it Tambutronic.

In essence it is a wild and colorful explosion of energy, that sees the dance floor in demand. Getting things off to a nice start will be Luton's 16-legged Conscious-Rock-Reggae band, Easydread.

Easydread combine sounds drawn from a wide range of influences, from punk to rap, soul to ska, as they seamlessly blend powerful political imagery with sweet harmonies and heavy grooves Easydread will get you thinking as well as skanking.

Doors open at 8pm and tickets £13 in advance from: http://www.seetickets.com/event/dub-pistols-guests/bedford-esquires/928065
