The animals at Woburn Safari Park had a festive flavour earlier this week, when keepers treated them to Christmas dinner.
The feast included ample turkey for the African lions and an array of festive vegetables for the herbivores.
The cheeky Macaque monkeys, Eland antelopes, Bactrian camels and beautiful Blue wildebeest all tucked in to carrots, parsnips, kale, brocolli, cabbage and some tasty brussels sprouts.
The smaller animals weren't left out either as the squirrel monkeys, marmosets, African crested porcupines, black & white ruffed lemurs and meerkats all unwrapped their festive treats which included some scrumptious crickets, mealworms and a fine selection of fruit and vegetables.

Not your traditional Christmas tucker, granted, but as these pictures show, it was well received!
If you want to escape the Christmas re-runs and put a little breathing space between yourself and another mince pie, why not pay the safari park a visit during the festive season?
It will be open from 10am to 3pm on Thursdays, Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays, except on Christmas Eve (24th December), Christmas Day (25th December) and Boxing Day (26th December) when the Park is closed to visitors.
