IN PICTURES: GOODBYE GREY SKIES, HELLO BLUE...HAPPY DAYS ARE HERE IN MK

Everyone remembers Happy Days, the fifties-set TV series with King of Cool, The Fonz. Well, he is back - along with all the other HD faces - the Cunningham family, Potsie, Ralph Malph, Joanie and Chachi, and they have a battle on their hands - their beloved diner Arnold's is facing demolition. Can they rescue the eatery before it becomes rubble? Happy Days - A New Musical dances in to MK Theatre from Monday (June 16) with a cracking cast bringing the brilliantly bright work to life. Emmerdale star Ben Freeman is stepping into shoes previously worn so well by Henry Winkler and will become the King of Cool. Sugababes singer Heidi Range is Pinky Tuscadero and Cheryl Baker plays Mrs Cunningham. The quality extends off stage too - and if a piece of work is only as good as the writing, Happy Days - A New Musical gets a Fonzie thumbs-up: Garry Marshall, the man behind the original show (and director of films including Pretty Woman and Beaches) has penned this re-visit too. Henry Winkler is on board as creative consultant, and the score is courtesy of Oscar, Grammy and Golden Globe award-winning Hall of Fame Songwriter, Paul Williams. Happy Days - A New Musical is it Milton Keynes Theatre until Saturday, June 21.
