A glorious collection of classical and contemporary music spanning four centuries will air at Stony Stratford's St Mary & St Giles Church this Saturday evening (Aug 22).
Listeners will be taken on a musical journey from Schumann to Sinatra performed by students from the Bath Spa University Choir.
The talented pupils are performing the show, Midsummer Music, to help swell the coffers and get them to New York!
The ensemble were heard performing at Bath Abbey in the year, and promptly invited to the Big Apple to perform on the legendary Carnegie Hall stage.
The choir - featuring Milton Keynes girl Emma Davies - will follow in the footsteps of luminaries including Louis Armstrong, Count Basie, Duke Ellington and our own John Dankworth and Cleo Laine.
They will perform the hauntingly beautiful Armed Man, while its composer Karl Jenkins watches on.
It is an amazing opportunity, but getting there doesn't come cheap.
Saturday's show will go some way to making the dream a reality, and you'll get a fabulous preview of what New York will hear later in the year.
Tickets are five pounds on the door, and the music will begin at 7.30pm.
