The Sculpture Gallery, part of the prestigious Woburn Estate, is delighted to welcome the return of the Altamira Chamber Orchestra for an evening of music and fine dining in exquisite surroundings at its Bach to the Future Dinner on Friday, March 10
Directed by Robert Atchison, the Orchestra will perform a programme bringing to life the very best of Bach, with a selection of his most popular pieces. Guests are invited to arrive at 7pm in black tie for reception drinks and canapés, before enjoying a four course candlelit dinner.
The Altamira Chamber Orchestra brings together some of the UK’s best musical talent.
Award winning Atchison was schooled in music from a young age and made his London debut in 1983 at The Queen Elizabeth Hall. Joining the Orchestra on stage throughout the evening is flutist, Eliza Marshall and violinist, Jacqueline Hartley.
Both have strong credentials, studying at The Royal Academy of Music and performing with some of the leading orchestras and sinfonias in the world.
This is the second time that the Orchestra has performed at The Sculpture Gallery and Sue Crowley, general manager, is delighted to welcome them back. “It’s a pleasure to be able to work with Sarah Jane Clarke and the Altamira Chamber Orchestra to bring this fantastic event to the Sculpture Gallery," she said.
"Sarah Jane and Robert have selected the very best programme of music to compliment the Gallery’s unique surroundings and create a truly memorable experience for guests”.
