South Carolina natives Heyrocco (below) are touring in support of their forthcoming debut album Teenage Movie Soundtrack, and will be live at Northampton Roadmender on Wednesday (April 22).
The grunge-pop trio have concocted an album brimming with sludgy guitar hooks and big, big choruses – comparisons to Nirvana, Pavement, The Cure and Mudhoney have been forthcoming.
Mucky guitars, the voice of a disheveled youth and total sonic gratification is promised when they hit the venue this week coming, as support to The Xcerts (top), who release their new single, I Don't Care, on Monday.
Explaining the song, Xcerts frontman Murray McLeod said: “The overall meaning of the song is about reaching breaking point with someone who is clearly upset about something you've done or said, yet refused to express why. Bottling things up and exploding is not a good way to live.”
The band, still riding high from the overwhelming response to their current album There Is Only You, will announce more UK festival dates imminently.
