An array of local music and spoken word artists are pooling talents in order to raise money for the local Foodbank this weekend.
The highlight of Saturday evening's (January 26) event promises to be the final appearance of young Ghanaian singing prodigy Sheniah Asiyama who will be singing blues in a specially put together blues set with Neil Beardmore at the keyboard.
Headlining the night will be the fun time get up and dance band Crossroots, again featuring the versatility of Sheniah's incredible range.
Sheniah then leaves for an extended trip to Australia, so this her farewell concert.
Other appearances include a range of highly qualified, published and experienced poets: Caroline Davies, Yaw Asiyama, Leslie Tate (whose poetry explores modern concepts of gender) and John Marshall, Foodbank manager.
MC is ex bard of Stony Stratford, Stephen Hobbs.
This will truly be a night to remember.
Entry is free, the bar will be serving and things get underway from 8pm. pm until late.
Parking is free outside the church after 6pm, and remember a few quid for the donation buckets.
